2nd INNOGOUV webinar
Initial results of the quantitative survey
of cooperative wineries
On 10 June 2025, the second INNOGOUV project webinar was held, dedicated to presenting the initial results of the 2024-2025 quantitative survey, conducted among more than 220 wine cooperatives throughout France. This event brought together more than 50 participants from professional, academic and institutional circles.
This webinar provided an opportunity to share rich preliminary results, focusing on four main areas:
- Cooperative governance, through the profile of members and leaders;
- The role of governance bodies in structuring decisions;
- The determinants of technological and varietal innovations observed in these organisations;
- An overview of cooperatives’ commitments to sustainability initiatives (CSR, climate change adaptation, etc.).
In their introduction, the speakers pointed out that cooperatives play a key role in the agroecological transition, accounting for nearly 40% of French wine production, with innovation capacities and organisational dynamics that vary greatly from one region to another.
The presentations, given by the project team (researchers, doctoral students, design engineers), highlighted the heterogeneity of trajectories depending on production areas, strategic orientations and the size of structures. The need to analyse the links between governance, innovation and sustainability performance was at the heart of the discussions, paving the way for the development of multidimensional indicators to better assess sustainability cooperative performance (economic, social, environmental and governance).
